What, meanwhile, has become of the ‘Nordica”s sister, the first Stena Danica? The ship saw lengthy service after 1969 as the Lucy Maud Montgomery in Canada before disposal in 1999. The most recent images I can find of her are as the Lady Caribe I, laid up in Key West in the early 2000s. In late 2007 Shippax reported her sold to “Dominican buyers” but there the trail goes cold.

Great work with a lot of interesting links. I look forward to see more!
Hello Matt!
What a nice monthly issue. Loved to read it all.
Just something i would like to mention you: I have got the feeling that Namma Lines’ video of Mawaddah is actually from another ship. Could it be the former Superferry?
Yes – this is definitely the former Superferry – which has been equipped with some furniture from the Stena Hibernia! Looks like the former Irish Bar is now a private dining room of some sorts.
The old Stena Danica from 1965 can be found here

Definitely I would say that Superferry’s convertion wasn’t one of the best in the “greek cruise ferries era”… If you compare it with other ferries such King Minos, Ionian Island, and so on, the difference is huge!
